Brilliant video. I downloaded to my Blackberry the game at Selhurst the following season when West Ham had Bobby Moore, Harry Redknapp and Frank Lampard playing against us.

When we interviewed David Gold at his house last year on the day of the game at Brighton I showed him and he was fascinated by it!

I love the Big Match videos - it's how I remember the football of my childhood!

Just found this clip from the 1971 game - only the West Ham goals - the full video of this game lasted over 11 minutes.

Don't know about most Palace fans but I would guess there are enough interested in buying a compilation of Palace games on the Big Match through the decades to make it worthwhile. Any takers?

I thought Alan Pickney might have popped up in those clips.

what a waste of space Paul Hammond was , looked like he simply couldn't be bothered for their first goal, gave away a penalty and was no where near the other 2. The romantically named Colin Prophett was playing for them, surely there must be some puns.

I was at the West Ham match in October 1970 although I can't say I remember much about it, so good to see this Big Match clip. Ended 1-1. Pretty well every London derby game drew a crowd in excess of 40,000 to Selhurst during the 4 seasons we were in Division 1 1969-1973. If I recall correctly there was a gate of around 49,000 for a game against Chelsea - a record that was eventually beaten by the 1979 Burnley game.
