I don'y know why I just thought of this.

I think it was 95? I think it was in Eagle eye magazine and it said there had been an incident with a wall/gate at Southend, can anybody shed some light?

Cheers

Hit with the outside of the boot thats the bit I like.

Not sure about a wall or gate but in 1995 Palace won there 2-1 with Chris Armstrong scoring. I was in the Main Stand and Palace fans seemed to make up at least half the attendance.

There was a tv camera on some dodgy scaffolding above the Palace end and rather oddly a ladder had been left there amongst the Palace hords.

Whilst the memory plays tricks on me I am sure the ladder spent the whole 90 mins being passed around in the Palace end.

I drove there one Friday night around 1976/77.

Took ages, got there late......... missed the goals.

Think it was 1-1. Peter Taylor was playing - I think it was for us?

The night is a blur to be honest........LOL

Went there twice in the 70's, both Friday nights; first time we won 1-0 with Nicky Chatterton getting a header from a Taylor cross; second time Taylor was playing again and may have scored but what I do remember is Peter Wall scoring a rare goal - rare in that he block tackled someone on the half way line and the ball looped up and flew into the top corner. 2-1. Result.

Zaha, Williams, Murray, Ambrose, Scannell.

A 5-man forward line who scored 3 goals in 10 minutes on 27th September 2011 at .......................

I think it was the 2-1 game I went to!
