Regarding the HOL feature on Roy Summersby. I'm rather intrigued by him and his apparent departure from the game when in his prime. The chances are of course that it was due to injury.

He was a good old Brixton boy who lived with his family in Minet Road and he married a woman with the unusual French surname of Jeanmonod, first name Betty. They were living in West Ewell in 1984 when he was aged nearly 50. After that I can find no trace of him.

I appreciate that there are few on here who will remember him apart from eic and me. But anyone any idea what happened to him?

He was a little grafter and helped out massively in his partnership with Johnny but unfortunately he left way earlier than I anticipated he would but sadly I haven't a clue what happened to him in later life.

........................Then along came Johnny Byrne! and the rest, as they say, is history.....................
