For me it was the game at Old Trafford last week. The usual people I would have travelled up with were making it a 48 special and it was at least £200 on just travel, hotel and tickets without everything else. I reckoned that I would be lucky to get away with spending much less than £400 and with Christmas coming up and a feeling we were going to get tonked, I gave it a skip and settled for watching it in the pub. Will regret it to my dying day. Any other time of the year and I reckon I would have gone and in almost every year in the past I would have done so anyway but business is slow. Damm growing old and sensible.

Play off at the Millenium - The missus was preggers and we booked a long weekend when we were still languishing in the bottom six... little did I know Dowie would get us in the fekking play off final and it was more than my life was worth to suggest not taking the now heavily preggers missus donw the coast. Although bless her she didnt mind sitting in a s***ty pub in Hastings watching...

The little sod didn't appear for another 5 weeks (although now redeeming himself as a Palace ST holder!). I travelled down to the A34/M4 services to meet my folks & friends as they made their way to Cardiff. So gutted. Other than that, I've always regretted not going to the Semi-Final in '76. We forget it now but at the time it was the highest profile game in our history.
