Hi just thought this up and wondered if you could plck only one player who would it be mine personally would be vince hilaire who in 1979 was lucky enough to shake hands with and get him to sign my hat

Wishing our fans would stop f. Ing about and start hoping we can hold on to our best players for a change and keep our squad for more than one season then we might be the PRemiership club we want to be

663 Palace appearances over 300(i think) more than anyone else...It can only be Jim (Mr Palace himself) Cannon.

No brainer for me only one candidate...Johnny Byrne, one of the few players in my younger years that would still be able to cope with today's game.

I can remember reading a book, some while after he left us,written by ex England centre back and captain Billy Wright. He said that in his opinion JB was the most complete player he had ever seen but he made a big mistake when he left us to play for WHU instead of the offer he had from Milan.

My choice since the 80's would be John Salako. Unfortunately, injury meant he was never able to reach his full potential. Pacy, confident he could beat anyone, he was not just a great player for palace (like Taylor before - and must have been a favorite of Coppell) but a nice bloke too. I remember during his first cruciate ligament injury he handed out my ticket at the ticket office where he was helping out. In my mind he was better than Ryan Giggs, for an equivalent style of player.

Of the players I have seen in the flesh Lombardo was the best player ever to pull the shirt on from a purely talent point of view but trying to pick your greatest ever player is nigh on impossible

My dad would agree with the Budgie fanciers though...

Don Rogers. Only wish that we had signed him earlier than we actually did.
