I think we should firstly agree on what constitutes 'great'. It strikes me that the list has a lot of significant goals rather than spectacular or well-worked goals such as...

Jim Cannon v Ipswich (H) 1979/80

Gareth Southgate v Portsmouth 1994/95

Chris Armstrong v Portsmouth 1994/95

Matt Jansen v Norwich (H)1998/99

Ian Wright v Wimbledon 1991/92

Paul Hinshelwood v Liverpool (H) 1976/77

Darren Ambrose v Aston Villa (H) 2009/10

There are so many but these are a few that spring to mind.

but surely they can be 'great' for their very significance. Freedman's in the last minute against Stockport could go down as one of the greatest because of what it actually meant

Kirovski's against Wolves stands out for me right now but deep down I know playing it again in my head over the years has made it a bit better than it was, or maybe it was that good

Marco riche(can't remember how to spell his last name!!) his goal away at qpr.. Flowing move finished off with a side foot into the top corner!! Wouldn't be in the top ten for importance but remember going nuts when it went in!!
