Been raking through all my old photos recently and found a load that were taken of Palace matches around the mid to late 80's. A friend of mine was a keen photographer and would take many photos during games and pass them on to me.

They're not professional shots, but over the years have become timepieces of a bygone era. Still find them fascinating to look at, taking you back to those days on the terraces at Selhurst and away.

26.4.86 Barnsley 2 Palace 4 Steve Ketteridge here I think slotting one in. Our last away game of that season - nothing riding on it but a real feeling among the small band of Palace fans that good times were on the way.

12.3.88 Millwall 1 Palace 1 Mark Bright missing here I think. Massive promotion match which we trailed 1-0 in for most of the match until Cannon equalised at the death.

Reading 2 Palace 3 A great away day with Palace coming out in the 2nd half a goal down and banging in 3 within 11 mins of the restart.

After Les Taylor put Reading ahead: George Wood head bowed and i think Neil Redfearn lying on his stomach.

Palace 2 Charlton 1 There he is - Palace's most celebrated forward: Trevor Aylott! I think this was the game when their keeper fell badly and was stretchered off leaving an out field player (Steve Gritt?) to go in goal. 2nd Charlton player to the right i'm sure is Alan Curbishley.
