I got this email sent to me.

I am a vietnam veteran trying to find a fellow veteran I served with in 1969, who I know was a devoted Crystal Palace Supporter. Being from England he returned home after his service. He was "supporter of the month" in early 1969 in the Crystal Palace magazine. His name is Michael Beamont. If you can supply a reply email address I have some pictures of Michael and an article which you may be able to post on your website. I have exhausted all avenues through the Veteran Affairs and Support organisations in Australia and would greatly appreciate any assistance.

I hope we can successfully make contact with Michael “Paddy”. I have attached three pictures of Michael Beamont (or Pom or paddy) as we knew him. First picture (IMG 0002) is ‘Spook’ (myself on left) and Paddy (centre) at the bar.

The other two pictures are of Paddy. We served with 3 Platoon, A company, 6th Battalion RAR in 1969-70. His Aussie mates would love to catch up with Paddy, who came out to Australia as a 10 pound pom and got his name drawn out of the national service hat soon after arrival.
