I thought that Tony Collins played for Torquay United before he joined Palace. I've a vague memory of him playing in a blue and yellow shirt versus the Palace way back in the distant past, the first black footballer I ever saw I think.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Tony Collins' by Guntrisoft I have fond memories of Tony Collins. He was quite a character who visibly enjoyed his football. He was very tricky down the left wing and he had this habit of doing a little jig after beating the full back. The crowd loved him. I do hope he's alive and well at the age of 84.
