Interesting the shock and awe at the number of new signings in the the last few days, it amused me listening to Palace Radio at the bemusement felt at the strange names on the teamsheet today.
Am I alone in remembering the days of Dick Graham,and Bert Head,long before the internet,or God forbid the Tweet(can Bert be imagined texting!).
The first you knew of a new signing was generally when they ran out on the pitch, remember no transfer window then.
Oh what fun we had, I think Dick Graham was the first manager to ignore the norm with shirt nubering, you were never sure what was going on, Bert Howe,our very own left back chopper running out in the number 9, I think Dick hoped to confuse the opposition, but Howe looked the most confused.
My memory is a bit shakey on the details, happy to have them filled in tho
