For example, the club can make all the right noises yet I could predict we would have been linked with and looked at Eze, Watkins, the kid from Norwich, Fraser etc from the comfort of my sofa. Why? Because it’s scouting from Sky Sports. I sometimes find myself wondering how long a new pair of shoes lasts DF and our scouting team?

You’re right, Willo. The problem that I have with this is that it’s the same every window. I see it’s reported today that Parish is supposedly worth £45 million. Surely this should be enough to fund the purchases of Eze and Watkins and perhaps some extra cladding for the stand?

If the £45M is true (and someone really comes in with an offer), then surely it would not be 45M upfront, but you would get them in 2-3 seasons.
