The Tory's have released quite a centrist manifesto unlike 2017. There's going to be 20 days of strike action by the RMT in December. Unless Labour get it under control it's going to create an anti union feeling and wont help them.

You would have thought they would do Jezza a solid and postpone it until next year. But Labour always seem to turn on themselves and eat their own young.

Ton Blair getting involved now “I don't think a majority government of either side is a good thing,” the former Labour PM says. Really Tony, in case you haven't noticed we've had a hung parliament for 3 years and nothing has been done in that time. Come Dec 12 the one thing I do want is a decisive victory for one side or another. I think he's saying it because he won't back Corbyn or any other party. Idiot.

This is a little one eyed. It also seems like you’re saying we work hard and earn massive amounts of money so therefore we should retain it all. Being a top earner myself, this sort of attitude really f***s me off. Mental These are assumptions, but why not... ‘Ridiculous amount of tax’ is relative. Yes if you’re earning 10m a year, you’ll be paying more tax than most people earn over several decades. Non starter. You knew the rules when you decided to move to an insanely expensive part of London and build your businesses. From the limited amount of information you provide, it doesn’t really sound like you’re on the breadline. • X2 kids in an inner city private school - 20/30k each per year • Both own your own businesses and use dividend as salary, likely pay close to the minimum personal salary, get paid in dividends, with the majority charged at the higher rate of tax (like myself) • employing 12 people indicates a reasonable turnover, for both businesses combined let’s say minimum 3-5m a year • for arguments sake, combined personal salaries/dividends of 3-400k • own a property in w12, 1-2 million minimum Taking into account corporation tax and dividend tax on those figures, even if they’re a bit less than that you’re hardly left with nothing. Or should I say, ‘the little we have left’. Pull the other one. Especially when any perceived lack of disposable is your own choice - choosing to spend 40-60k on your kids education, private healthcare, whilst living in W12 and no doubt the lifestyle/keeping up appearances nonsense that accompanies that. It almost sounds like you want some sort of tax credits for doing so. Incredible. Your combined disposable monthly income alone after tax is most likely close to or more than the average UK wage of a paramedic. Yeah you pay more tax, as do I as a top rate earner and there’s a good reason for that. Could the systems that distribute it back Be better? f*** yes. Do I resort to lazy stereotypes when discussing how said money gets spent? No. Could the government do more to prevent people from gaming the system? Yes. Do the majority of people on benefits game the system? No. ‘We get nothing back for it’. You’re not supposed to. Especially when you’re earning that much. Don’t like it? Move elsewhere to a more corrupt society so you can game the system, pay less tax and have ethically questionable political influence to satisfy your needs. ...or downsize the business, lay off staff to do so and prevent their taxes from entering the system....SW19 I agree with a lot of what you posted as I do with W12...what i would say though is that 'historically' when taxes have been raised so has the unemployment rate...low taxes mean more businesses investing in jobs and the economy...taxes aren't the ONLY way to get money in the system...it's the easiest, but not the ONLY way

My view on the Tory manifesto is steady as she goes. Boris has shown his true colours he is a one nation Tory not really as radical as some would suggest. This is the type of Manifesto that the clueless Theresa May should have delivered in 2017. It appeals to the faithful and gives the undecided a clear choice. Vote Tory and you get Brexit no big tax rises and money for the NHS. Or take a gamble and vote Labour for big tax and spending and god knows what on the EU. If you are risk averse it's a no brainer. How are they still allowed to peddle this s***? At which point do we just get to point to the state of every and any public service as proof of the Tory policy on it?

It's very much a 'May' manifesto, but without the dementia tax. Not inspiring, if Brexit isn't the only issue you find important.

Well Boris is a pretty boring standard neo liberal conservative,......but just with good jokes. More right wing than May perhaps...but more in line with the party generally.

Not sure how the tech works but something seems wrong with my YouTube settings at the moment. I keep on getting an advert with Jeremy Corbyn sitting in the back of a moving car wanting to explain his manifesto to me in 60 seconds. LOL.
