Steve Parish no doubt worked exceptionally hard to build his business up (just like every business owner on the planet that has become successful) its not exclusive. He invested a quarter of the money necessary to rescue Palace from liquidation (three other partners at the time putting up the other three quarters) and in view of the clubs dire financial predicament at the time gained control of the club for chump change. Would he have paid the going rate for a Championship club had it NOT been in administration, even if he'd only have to find a quarter of the money? Who knows but doubtful based on his 'reluctant investor' self description at the time.
As far as 'sharing his money with us'? This makes no sense. If you mean by that buying players that got us promoted and then buying even better players to keep us up I'm sorry to disappoint you. He did that for the good of his business and to protect his very fast growing investment. No matter what he might say he did not spend a penny of Palace's generated income (not his own money by the way) for us fans. He did it to strengthen the clubs position and try to push us forward as a team. Thats fine by me (and nearly every other fan) because it falls in line with what we want-success on the pitch.
Parish has done great things for Palace but lets not pretend he is some kind of super hero who consistantly carries out selfless acts. He strengthens Palace for himself so that one day the calf will grow into a fattened Bull and he can take it to maket and collect his big payday. I have no problem with that whatsoever because if his plan works it will mean Palace will be ten times the size club we were when CPFC2010 first arrived

Palace are poor on the pitch for a number of obvious reasons.
Don't let the playing staff use the HF as an excuse for not performing. Players are on mega-bucks ££, that should be reason enough to do their job.

The Emirates is a good example of performance with no crowd participation

I do think Parish is a hero though.

I quite like Simon Jordan too. I chatted with him once about his book. Well, I say chatted, it was 99 per cent him talking and me listening. I did get to say 'um' and 'ha ha' and "i agree'

But fair play to Jordan too. He built a business and put money into Palace.

Mind you, I met a bloke in the Two Brewers once and as a joke I said he looked a bit like Simon Jordan. He threatened to punch me!

Good grief. I never knew Jordan was so unpopular.

buying a Championship for a song, scrub that, a quarter of a song! This was no risk at all. He was only shouldering a quarter of the finacial burden, if it went pear shaped it was a financial hit he could afford to take, if it went to plan which it did the financial rewards were/are massive. Of course it was an investment. EVERYTHING a businessman puts money into is an investment whether good or bad. This one was pretty good wouldn't you say?

I'm impressed there are so many experts here on buying football clubs and making them into profitable enterprises.

There's me thinking it's probably a hard job, with loads of volatile variables (like insecure footballers, greedy agents and fans with insanely inflated expectations).

Once again I'm wrong. It's a doddle. Anyone could do it.

In fact, I'd have bought Palace myself only, er, I've got flat feet and the doctor said I've got a cute angina.
