Obviously I know that. but how comes we've openly said hes not for sale at any price and we not a selling club, then to make this statement, it doesn't coincide It does, taken in context. Start of the window club says "not for sale". All the way through the window rags like the Mail/Mirror publishing articles about offers made by clubs for him. Club issue statement saying nobody has made an offer - this rubbishes the above mentioned articles. To avoid this statement triggering an offer they've added the caveat that anything now would be too late. I get the impression it's been a subtle way of calling the media out on their BS/lies & to calm fans fears.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

That's not the case for MLS. The league own all the clubs, and 'ownership' of a club really means that you are a general investor in the league with a right to operate a specific club. MLS clubs are only referred to as 'franchises' because that's the reflexive way we North Americans say it; in reality, the league have a much tighter leash on each club than they would if it were a classic franchise system. Over on NSC, of course, the term is just used to reinforce their absurd conspiracy theory that CPFC no longer exist, and that we are all duped followers of a sham organization run by football vampires for the benefit of the Croydon Illuminati. Yes, you are correct and thank you for the correction. I wasn't quite sure how the ownership model in MLS is working these days, especially with the near-nursery club relationship between Man City and NYCFC. See the Lampard nonsense and the "transfers" of Harrison and Diskerud from Yankee Stadium to the Etihad. NSC? Or is it NBC? Edited by kenbarr (08 Aug 2018 12.21pm)

Hmmm, the press yet again goes full circle and this is how it seems to go in relation to Wilf: 1) "x" club are desperate to buy Wilf Therefore an entire story has been created by the press with a beginning, a middle and an end all of which is entirely fiction and all created for the purpose of clickbait. If they had never written any of the articles we would be in entirely the same position we are now! The truth behind all of this is there was never any offers put in, there has been no request for a transfer and all along the Club, the Manager and the player himself has said he is not leaving. 40 pages of wasted comment on this board with more trolling about Wilf leaving than I would care to read on another clubs board, let alone this one. If a massive bid is made we will hear about it soon enough and a decision will be made then and only then and it is in the clubs hands as to whether they accept it or not. I don't want to see him go, never have, never will as he is the most exciting player I have ever seen in a Palace shirt. Unfortunately there seems to be a hardcore on here happy to stir things up and appear to take delight in anything negative written about Wilf's stay at the club. Whinge over, last I say on this until either the season starts or we get a massive bid on the table. Haha, we are at stage number 12 now according to the Mirror! I just need Wilf to score a shed full of goals this season and I'll have the full house:-)

"...are set to hang on...", "wanted to go but has come to terms..." He still can't admit he made the whole thing up and never actually spoke to Zaha. At best he ran with a multi-hand rumour and at worst he wrote his own fantasy.

I can't imagine Wilf's ever said a word to the bloke other than, "bad luck, sorry I just relegated you" or "bad luck, sorry I just scored one and made one in the last 5 mins and ruined Watford AGAIN".

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Only 83 pages on here regarding Wilf? We are losing heavily to the Brighton NSC who have racked up 140 pages on him. They really are obsessed about us I think.
