Rudi how many stands are being upgraded do you think? Also does this give scope for a second phase in say another decades time to increase again ? My architect mate said Main stand first, Whitehorse second. Arthur is cosmetic stuff until then. Light to houses would be an issue, buy the whole lot up and could still have issues regarding houses behind gardens ? Sainsbury’s issue does not seem resolved from the plan as it stands. Guess if we can stay up we can buy them out at their higher price. If they keep playing hard ball maybe we should all boycott Sainsbury’s? Council don’t really have any alternative to approving the plan as what site could they give us that would avoid the Tesco Bag wearers ground issues?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave this is all brilliant news. just a few thoughts : 1. the artists impression in the link shows Palace fans walking into the stadium wearing a Puncheon T shirt. In 2019 ? are they having a laugh ? 2. the view from the Arthur will be improved because of better sun shade from the taller opposite stand. 3. does the 15 million quid per year of income stream assume that is Premier league money and that we stay up. Are the plans to build happening regardless of us to survive or drop ? 4. Any improvements to road and rail transport links to get all these extra eagles to the church on time ? 5. somebody please cc the development plans to charlton and millwall who will be delighted to see us leaving them miles behind us. Especially charlton who are now being eclipsed by West Ham moving into their back yard. 6. anybody notice how quiet the Amex was the other day, its a morgue. Thank you Parish for being mindful of acoustics. You are a true Eagle and doing all of us proud. 1905. come on you Palace !!!! Edited by PalazioVecchio (04 Dec 2017 9.33pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Saw early that it only took NSC a couple of minutes to start talking about this because they are obsessed with us. But reading through this topic and their board no one has mentioned yet that this will mean we will have a bigger stadium than them. A bigger stadium that isn't an identikit stadium miles out of town with no heritage or atmosphere. It will be a stadium based on an historical architectural marvel on the same site as it's been for almost 100 years, right in the heart of the community.... and our fans will stay to the end. Hopefully it all goes through.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave From an architectural point of few its another horrible looking glass thing, like a shopping mall or some capitalist piece of architecture you see in London Bridge. Front facade looks tacky, like something out of Logan's Run. Chelsea have got it right for their next one with good ol brick.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave SAINSBURYS UNAWARE OF PLANS RELEASED Looks like Parish is trying to put pressure on council and Sainsburys. There hasn't even been any agreement on the car park and the bits that the new stand would be built on that Sainsburys own.

Capitalism is terrible for architecture, that's why we need more beautiful communist brutalism. This free market economy is going to lead us into totalitarian socialist utopia run by a computer. It's madness that a club named after a massive modular glass structure are using glass in the design as a reminder of their history. That building was only to showcase the wealth of imperialist pigs. We should change our name.
