Oh the price America is paying for allowing itself to be governed by foreign interests more than its own.

A lesson that Britain itself has yet to realise.

IDF in all parts of Gaza, widely reported. The UN have said alongside military action, the next big killer will be disease and famine.
It is going to be heart-breaking to watch over Christmas, but Israel is only allowing very limited aid into Gaza, as their military operations expand.

Ultimately the Palestinians will be killed or forced out, and Israel will absorb the former Palestinian areas.

Christmas doesn’t exist under Islam. Did you not see the protests in NYC when they turned on the tree lights?

All Human life. It's all we have.

"The "pulverising" of the Gaza Strip now ranks "among the worst assaults on any civilian population in our time and age", the head of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has said.

"Each day we see more dead children and new depths of suffering for the innocent people enduring this hell," says Jan Egeland, NRC's secretary general.

He says that 1.9 million people - almost the entire Gaza population - have been displaced and that nearly two-thirds of homes have been destroyed." (BBC website 5 December 2023)

And yet the border with Egypt remains closed...

Yes, I can guess the reasons why the Egyptians don't open the border to allow refugees across but whilst we chastise the West for their inactions, the Arab neighbours don't assist either.

Over the decades there have been millions of Palestinians displaced into the surrounding countries.

The question perhaps is what right did Israel have to displace them in the first place.

I'm no fan of Islamic countries but I'm struggling to see why on earth they would help solve a problem for Israel or America.....as while the IDF went into Gaza the bombs they used were American....As is the 3.8 billion a year the US freely gives them.

Yep, I rarely agree with the left but this is sponsored carnage.

I understand why Israel are doing what they are doing....but it doesn't mean I accept it morally.

So, the Arab hatred of America and Israel is greater than their love of their fellow Arabs…

Like I said, and it's the truth, these countries already have millions of Palestinians from decades of displacement.

None of them agree with what Israel and America have done here.

You think they should suffer the housing, economic and political instability because these are fellow Arabs?

Ok, and personally as long as we aren't used as a dumping ground it's a problem far far away caused by people I don't agree with......but I can understand and certainly see why the Arabs are very angry.

It’s not easy to conclude this for the reasons you allude to but the ‘side point’ is that the longer this goes on the greater the chance that the Arab world unites against Israel (not with words and diplomacy but with an armed response). Not sure that the American presence in the region would be enough to prevent it.

Israel have nuclear weapons.

The current political class in power in America both Republican and Democrat would definitely go to WW3 for Israel.....You literally have their foreign secretary going to Israel after the 7th of October and saying 'As a Jew'......Henry Kissinger would have never have said that (and he was half Jewish).

Until politicians refuse the special interests cookie jar funding from 'certain interest groups' then they will never be balanced about their 'greatest ally'.....even though they actually cause them nothing but problems.

Interesting to see how public opinion in Israel is going.

According to the Time article nearly 6 in 10 Israelis don't think the bloodshed we have seen in Gaza has been enough, and think the IDF has used too little firepower.

Only 1.8% of Israelis said they believed the IDF has been using too much firepower.

Of course, just as here, most people aren't political and respond to fear and media/state propaganda.

However, it seems that the peace and love picture presented by some meets up against hard reality when sh1t gets real. This doesn't surprise me as it's human nature. The idea of a two state solution is a fantasy......It would have been 'just' but powerful forces on both sides are determined for a zero sum game.

Well because we don’t live in Egypt, obviously - British citizens can only pressure their own politicians to act, not random foreign governments.
