If Wilf goes then so be it but if not, let's bring on the football. The old peanut lady of Selhurst Park will always stand firm whatever is thrown at her!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle So we have it from the Club that no enquiries have been made to date and with so little time left before the window shuts, would be very surprised to see Wilf leave at this very late stage. As others have said, the speculation will start all over again in January, no doubt and every future window, but with his presence, what a boost this will give Roy and the team for this new season when we will really go places!!

Thanks for posting that. So I can probably ignore this 'reliable' source then: "Heard from a reliable source (my mate is mates with the Bromley physio who is mates with the franchise 2010 one) that Zaha is desperate to leave in this window and has had a spat with Parish. Apparently a lot of players have lost respect for Parish since he failed to ban the hooded knobs who injured the stewards and stole real palace fans tickets that night, after promising to. I heard Puncheons sister was one who was refused entry despite having a ticket and ruffed up by the ultras too. From what I’m told, Zaha and Benteke go into the physio room and demand to be treated straight away as they’re ‘top earners’. Heard of a palace player even throwing a youth teamed off the treatment table as they had a sore big toe - all is not well there at the franchise - worst it’s been in all 8 years of existence apparently. Apparently a lot of lower league players at clubs like Bromley don’t consider the CP2010FC players as real footballers as they were just placed in the 2nd tier and this is why many want out of the franchise this year"
The Bromley players don’t consider Palace players as real footballers pahahahahha

Who on earth refers to clubs as “franchises” That is the way things are done in the USA and Canada where professional sports organizations are franchises of their respective league (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS). It is totally improper and factually incorrect to refer to any club in English Football as a franchise. Edited by kenbarr (07 Aug 2018 9.54pm)

The league own all the clubs, and 'ownership' of a club really means that you are a general investor in the league with a right to operate a specific club. MLS clubs are only referred to as 'franchises' because that's the reflexive way we North Americans say it; in reality, the league have a much tighter leash on each club than they would if it were a classic franchise system. Over on NSC, of course, the term is just used to reinforce their absurd conspiracy theory that CPFC no longer exist, and that we are all duped followers of a sham organization run by football vampires for the benefit of the Croydon Illuminati.

Unless your Milton Keynes of course! Who are now in League Two -- officially (and for the first time ever) playing at a tier below League One's AFC Wimbledon. MK Don's opening match this year, by the way, was against Oldham(!). Oldham lost.
