This is your usual disingenuous waffle, you have indeed said words to that effect, sure you wouldn't use words like left wing or neoliberal even if all your political sources are of that persuasion. My central point stands.....you have written on here that people should look beyond the sources you post (or words to that effect) yet when it comes to other people posting you straight away attack the source. As for 'fact checking' it is usually just another way of saying some paid journalists have different opinions.....and as with everything he who pays the piper calls the tune. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Jun 2023 10.09am) So you now admit it was untrue, aka a lie, and all you were doing is putting out your own interpretation. ie, imposing your views and attitudes on others. Fact-checkers are very far from just journalists with different opinions. They are primarily funded by those with an interest in exposing misinformation. Of which there is far too much these days. You have only to read some of the analyses they offer and evaluate the quality of the arguments to know they do great work in debunking false claims. That you dismiss them in the way you do says much more about you than the fact checkers.

Untrue. I have called those who trust unreliable sources who spread misinformation irresponsible and selfish. I have suggested those who do this ought to face the consequences of such decisions. However, whilst it's legal to make stupid decisions and trust unreliable sources you have the right to do so. I argue for the rights of those who think it is irresponsible and selfish to exclude those they think are behaving badly. Sleepy joe provide mis-information and is an unreliable source. But at the end of the day like you said "in the end, it's up to everyone to decide for themselves who they trust." A source is only "Unreliable" if it does not fit your agenda. I think its irresponsible and selfish of people like you to try and force people who have made informed and rationale decisions about their own health to take somthing they do not want nor need.

And fact checkers clearly they have an agenda otherwise they would have been all over it. Edited by eaglesdare (12 Jun 2023 4.57pm)

Biden did no such thing. He passed on the best advice known to the health authorities at that time. Science is like that. You don't want to trust the health authorities. Fine, be stupid but kindly stay away from me. A source is unreliable if it doesn't have the knowledge and authority to discuss a specialised subject. You didn't make an informed decision. You made a misinformed and selfish decision. You are not being forced to be vaccinated. I just believe your behaviour is irresponsible and ought to have consequences.

Edited by eaglesdare (12 Jun 2023 4.57pm) Experience and knowledge about the way vaccines work indicated that would be the case, which real-time experience went on to confirm was true. It was the variants which changed the picture.

What I said is the truth of what you said. You're the hypocrite and liar old bean not me. I taught computing science, you're the marketer creating 'impressions' not me. Anyway I'm going to be very busy over these next three days and won't be on here, so you will get to carry on your weird mental illness on these boards without me.

You are being selfish and irresponsible expecting me to risk my health and others like me who made informed decisions just for you.
