When the post I was responding to was nothing more than a liturgy of cheap right wing bs, probably lifted from a Trump supporters site, then pushing back seems entirely appropriate, to maintain some balance. Of course the news is edited. It has to be to ensure it doesn't libel anyone or risk damaging national security. A free press, untainted by government control, will though ensure that the truth does prevail. Which it does.
Reality....you know, not the world you care for. I mean, let us not forget your 'I think Romney will lead the GOP' nuttery, well the reality is the mainstream media, while not controlled by government is mostly controlled by governmental supporters....it isn't objective it is mostly Democratic and edits and omits to suit. So your claim that the 'truth will prevail' is about as accurate as your earlier predictions.....Still, waiting on Russia-gate by the way. Apparently Trump is going to jail, you know like you said....those lies and fantasies you pushed on here for years.

No I didn't see the speech and am unlikely to as I am very, very busy with a house move right now, on top of several other issues. So I am not following all the detail. I only drop in here from time to time when I take a break. What I heard yesterday suggests that there is a lot of bridge building needed by the USA as a consequence of the last administration's wrecking tactics which has resulted in no representation at all with the Palestinians. It seems a US envoy is on the way to try to effect some diplomacy, get a cease fire and to then start the almost impossible task of finding a long term solution that can be tolerated by all the various factions involved. Neither side having anything approaching a homogeneous society which speaks with one voice. Good luck with the move. Staying in Cornwall? And please look after yourself with those other issues.

Top of the morning to you, Stirl. I wish he was. China and Russia are showing how badly Trump is missed.

If it was comical then you must have a seriously weird sense of humour. It made me wince with embarrassment that anyone over 12 could write such nonsense. Mitt Romney has not become leader of the GOP. Yet! But with Liz Cheney's sacking this week the battle lines are being drawn for the fight for the soul of the party with the suggestion that a significant group of senior Republicans are threatening to form a third party unless the GOP turns its back on Trump and populism. So never say never. Romney could well end up as the de facto leader of that group and the man who could be the key to holding everything together. Lots of water to go under many bridges yet. This isn't about the immediate aftermath of the failure of Trumpism. It's about the long term consequences of it's emergence and how the USA ultimately reacts to it. There were no "lies" from me over Trump's 2016 election being influenced by Russia. People were jailed because of it and Mueller very clearly stated he was not clearing him. He just was unable, at that time, to bring charges, due to Barr's ruling. Be patient! I've little doubt that any delay in progressing his many cases will only be due to a need to allow some normality and calm to establish itself and the pandemic to be overcome. These aren't either "lies" or fantasies. They are facts in plain sight for anyone with their eyes open to see. The truth will indeed prevail. It just sometimes takes a while. Be patient! Good luck with the move. Staying in Cornwall? And please look after yourself with those other issues. Thanks. The move is in chaos and I am seriously stressed. Not caused by me but by a very stupid error by a valuer which has caused a whole chain of well coordinated actions to fall apart. Yes I am staying in Cornwall and not moving very far. The way it's looking I may not be moving at all!!! My other issues just add physical problems but nothing can be done about them except showing determination and resilience. Thanks though for the kind thoughts.

Well, I suppose none of us wish you physical ill health or indeed problems with a move. Your lousy politics on the other hand.

Judging by this contribution yours has been an abject failure, so maybe you would be well advised to extend it for a while. Mr Biden is quietly doing a fine job and is a very welcome and refreshing improvement on the past 4 chaotic years. Oh yes, he is doing a great job. Taxes are going up. The border with Mexico is in meltdown and people are being blown to bits again in the Middle East. Yes, normal service has resumed.

They hide in civilian areas, have no care at all for the innocent victims of Israeli attacks on their positions and have no intention of honouring any agreement made round a table. Funny how the states involved tried their hardest to avoid investigation.
