The sad truth is an fa cup victory doesn’t build the fanbase and club like it used to when that was the only club match on tv or one of about a dozen every season. A lot of people don’t even watch some of the fa cup finals. Being in the premier league is where it’s at and the place to be now. Charlton were growing alarmingly when they were here. The longer you stay, the more fans you attract and keep. More than you ever will lifting the fa cup which is pretty much ignored by most until the semis or quarters.
And selling you star players does? Any potential young fan now has another reason to Support Man U over Palace.

For me he should have stayed another season, hope it was the right choice as even with Manure would not like to see him fail would liked to have seen a bit more commitment to a club who has kept the faith, grass root supporters deserve a little more from players.

We can get relegated with Benteke, Wickham and/or some chance loan you keep saying we should do until the club is sold. That isn’t a concrete plan. It’s being a bit spoilt when we can’t afford to have what you want. We don’t have any funds, we have financial troubles, and we struggle to score at home and plenty of games. We’ve sold a right back, not a playmaker or key pivotal position in the team. AWB is actually ineffective in attack and the area we could do with a full back supporting effectively. I’d rather we didn’t have to sell him but I’m seeing this in reality and Zaha is more of a concern anyway. We survived 5 seasons without AWB but we’re getting weaker and weaker at creating and scoring. That is a fact. Why don’t you wait and see what happens with replacement left and squad setup?

Bostock comes to mind, though at least we'll get some dosh. A poor day for the club when we can't keep hold of our best talent. My prediction is we wont get any decent players in return (though we may spend the money) - championship beckons, especially if Wilf goes too. We'll have no one that can change a game and keep us us!

Yep. Wilf going will be the signal that the investors want a fast buck before they sell up, leaving us to be relegated and face a player exodus and another possible decade in the Championship. Not doing that again. I'm too old to waste my time.

Many of our fans have no ambition and that allows this club to act accordingly. Imagine if some other clubs sold their two best players in one season. There would be mayhem.
