Different population density, demographics and weather all make comparisons impractical. Florida recommends mask wearing and whilst several cities did mandate, it the Governor imposed his own, politically inspired, opinion and stopped them. Their cases are rising.

A block option would, if it worked as it does on other sites, stop someone being able to send you personal messages. Which seems perfectly reasonable to me and something I could support.

What it wouldn't do is change the way users can participate in a thread. There are already rules we must follow over offensive content.

If your real objection is to other people's opinions, and want to see them removed, then I doubt, and very much hope, that will ever happen. As a free speech enthusiast, I trust nor do you.

I don't see what the issue with a block option would be. It doesn't stop people from posting and those that want to see their posts will see them.

It just means that those that don't wish to view them won't see them.

If anything it's an incentive to not troll....which I thought was what everyone wanted.
