May I suggest, as I have suggested many times, that you discuss this with your black friends to find out how they think and what it is like to walk a mile in their shoes.
Emotions are not a good basis for reasoning, especially when they are prejudiced by self interest.

Closer to home for me, you are more likely to be the recipient of a hate crime if you are Jewish than black. Anti-semitism is on the rise in many countries, France in particular where many Jews (often old people) Have been murdered in recent years. I don’t see anyone wanting to protest or take a knee for this. Why? Because it seems that blacks have the monopoly on playing victims. The irony in all this is that until you empower yourself you will always be a victim. Not as surprise when Europe is filling up with Muslims.

Why do you have to be in a minority? Unfair discrimination doesn't need a qualifier.....and we had DanH on here admitting and supporting discrimination based on race for jobs where he saw fit....and none of you lefties made a peep. BLM and all the rest of them are shakedown organizations for a 'diversity industry' who are only interested in money and power and will BS and lie till the cows come home. I remember putting the 'diversity job' adverts on here a few months back....organizations like the NHS giving jobs for 'diversity' while real workers are being laid off all round the country. People like you and Ali G...err sorry I mean DanH attacked me for it....apparently if you don't support the 'diversity industry' you're not nice....or some simple minded crap like that.

Great, what are BLM suggesting should be done re black gangs stabbing white kids or Asians gang raping white school kids? Probably not a lot I’m guessing.

Bending down on one knee for a few seconds achieves nothing. If you ask them who the new black LBC presenter is, how she got into the broadcaster and what she’s been talking about for 6 months none of these footballers would know. You probably don’t either. Violent black on black violent crime you mean? A start of a lot of the problems nobody is allowed to or wants to risk their reputation or career addressing? Edited by Rudi Hedman (18 Dec 2020 12.25pm) I don't, you're right. Not a big fan of LBC, so I don't listen to it. If you believe that violent crime is only perpetrated by black people and/or it isn't a wider societal issue, fair play, but I don't agree.

It is NOT intended to directly address anything happening in the UK. Are you so wrapped up in your little England obsession that you cannot actually see that the players have a wider vision than that? And some here describe the footballers as thick! Simpletons going ‘’Okay then’’ might get you mistakenly feeling all fuzzy inside but it’s an error and futile gesture. The same foreign places where ignorance goes on you’re referring to aren’t going to change because of this and it changes barely anything here. Ask a black teenager in the future and find out. Now there is a question that hasn’t been answered by anyone and I don’t count, ‘stop being racist’ as an answer. This is why i mentioned Denise Headley. She does say she believes in equal opportunities rather than equality of outcome but she then goes onto list things that are equality of outcome, without realising it maybe, plus a load of measures or ‘help’ far beyond what other non achieving groups receive. Originally she made some fair claims and requests but I’ve noticed she’s gone a bit far. Maybe because nothing has happened during all this virtue signalling. If something had happened then maybe she’d focus on that. Edited by Rudi Hedman (18 Dec 2020 5.26pm)

I didn’t say only and indeed people see red mist too often these days. But the figures are disproportionate with young black males.

Well, yes, I think it is the point otherwise it’s an empty gesture. What is it they want everyone else to do to improve what you call oppression? Not our business. If you really want to know why don't you ask them? If they want to do it then that's fine by me.

That article also says kneeling is in support of the BLM movement which you have repeatedly denied. OMG! NOT the POLITICAL movement. That has specifically and comprehensively been denied by the players and the FA. The movement they mean is that of the awareness that something now needed to be done which started in the USA. This is an extract from that article. Politics isn't mentioned:- "The BLM movement and taking a knee has grown in prominence in the United Kingdom following the death of George Floyd in the US in May, which sparked protests around the world." Colin Kaepernick started it. This is just a continuation. No politics involved.

Edited by Rudi Hedman (18 Dec 2020 5.30pm) Your opinion. You are entitled to it. The players are entitled to theirs. They won't intervene at your home by booing outside. Just pay them the same respect. That's all this is about. Not whether people agree with the act or not.
