Most of my money goes on social care for others and mostly able bodied people that don't pay into the system. Then when I want to spend the little we have left it gets taxed again. We should get taxed much less and not more and if you think otherwise you should go and **** yourself.
This is a little one eyed. It also seems like you’re saying we work hard and earn massive amounts of money so therefore we should retain it all. Being a top earner myself, this sort of attitude really f***s me off. Mental These are assumptions, but why not... ‘Ridiculous amount of tax’ is relative. Yes if you’re earning 10m a year, you’ll be paying more tax than most people earn over several decades. Non starter. You knew the rules when you decided to move to an insanely expensive part of London and build your businesses. From the limited amount of information you provide, it doesn’t really sound like you’re on the breadline. • X2 kids in an inner city private school - 20/30k each per year • Both own your own businesses and use dividend as salary, likely pay close to the minimum personal salary, get paid in dividends, with the majority charged at the higher rate of tax (like myself) • employing 12 people indicates a reasonable turnover, for both businesses combined let’s say minimum 3-5m a year • for arguments sake, combined personal salaries/dividends of 3-400k • own a property in w12, 1-2 million minimum Taking into account corporation tax and dividend tax on those figures, even if they’re a bit less than that you’re hardly left with nothing. Or should I say, ‘the little we have left’. Pull the other one. Especially when any perceived lack of disposable is your own choice - choosing to spend 40-60k on your kids education, private healthcare, whilst living in W12 and no doubt the lifestyle/keeping up appearances nonsense that accompanies that. It almost sounds like you want some sort of tax credits for doing so. Incredible. Your combined disposable monthly income alone after tax is most likely close to or more than the average UK wage of a paramedic. Yeah you pay more tax, as do I as a top rate earner and there’s a good reason for that. Could the systems that distribute it back Be better? f*** yes. Do I resort to lazy stereotypes when discussing how said money gets spent? No. Could the government do more to prevent people from gaming the system? Yes. Do the majority of people on benefits game the system? No. ‘We get nothing back for it’. You’re not supposed to. Especially when you’re earning that much. Don’t like it? Move elsewhere to a more corrupt society so you can game the system, pay less tax and have ethically questionable political influence to satisfy your needs.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

However, he's been great for their economy....I think mainly because, rightly or wrongly business trust him. The number of people on more than one job has always been a small minority of people anyway....I think it stands at 5.1 percent and has hovered around that for many years. I agree with you about the decline of the one wage family. However, I don't think that's all down to evil capitalists. Modern societies have far higher expectations and far more stuff than those of the past. Edited by Stirlingsays (22 Nov 2019 9.29pm) I think business trusting him isn't exactly right. Big business definitely, as they are loving the low interedt rates so they can borrow loads of money, buy their own stock, raising the share price. So, the Dow is up but the economy not so much.

I didn't watch the Election special last night but apparently President Elect Jo Swinson didn't do herself any favours
