After the match yesterday we decided to take matters into our own hands and went to talk with the HF We met an absolutely delightful couple of lads. They were genuinely deeply upset that the recent process has gone so wrong and were clear they never wanted to do anything to upset anyone. They were also highly inclusive. We explained that we are in two of the seats they would particularly want, middle of Row 19, but we are not moving. They weren’t at all concerned and just wanted to welcome us into the fold. They told us that they have no input into who joins the singing section. They have requested a pattern of seats for the existing HF members but don’t know if they will get it. They also said that CPFC2010 has to apply for a licence and that process isn’t clear to them. We asked about their stated intention to meet with current Block E people and how they intended to do that. They didn’t really have an answer, they just said they would really like to meet anyone that wishes to talk with them and would take any opportunity. If anyone wants us to pass contact details onto them we are happy to do so, PM me. We take away from this that if you are Block E and want to stay and sing the HF will welcome all-comers but you will have to convince Paul McGowan you really are a keen singer and will stay the pace. Sign up to the singing section and make sure he knows you are keen.

Meanwhile the atmosphere seemed enhanced yesterday and once again the yank TV coverage was showing the HF ad nauseum.

How do we stand a chance of building an international fan base? Without the HF I suspect the marketing of our club would be harder.

Highlights on MOTD showed the HF at least 3 times, once ironically when the crowd wasnt singing very loud, Its obvious that the HF give the club a marketing front when it comes to TV which is surprising as at Anfield for example they got more flags and scarved waved than weve ever had in the club shops in total ( well a lot anyway) COYP

Dream on. This is Palace and Parish. There’s as much chance of the new stand being finished soon so that it coincides with safe standing as there was of the Holmesdale originally being built with a roof more than 25 years ago with a terrace still allowed. Probably partly why the HF actions. The only reason it was built was because we received a sports grant. (Noades never would’ve paid for the whole thing when there were bank accounts to be kept topped up and things in Oxted and elsewhere to buy) Not a ‘dream on’ scenario. It’s fairly realistic that the new stand will be built and safe standing will be passed in about 5 years time. The rest is natural progression. The fact safe standing isn’t already in place in the Premier League is just farcical. In my opinion the danger to the new stand is relegation, as attendance will drop to around 18,000 - 20,000 and the new extra seats will be pointless.

5 years isn’t soon.

Welcome back HF. I would think 85% of people who actually go to games are pleased your back, look forward to you moving in to block E next season good luck Personally couldn't give a f*ck, but there you go. Happy to be one of the 15%. Which I suspect is an underestimate.
All good. Nothing bad. |

Whatever next bleddy organ music blaring out every ten minutes, cheerleaaders dancing and waving their pom poms the whole game. This is England not the USA!!!

The Premier League film it and sell on to TV companies around the world.

Watching MOTD the noise and atmosphere at both Leicester and Newcastle was way ahead of ours.
