'Director of football', Les Reed, has a dossier on coaches in Europe and Puel went through a rigorous interview process having to attend three interviews. Now there is talk of Puel being ditched after one season, a season in which Southampton have finished a very creditable 8th. We dream of doing that!

I mentioned Ralph Ralnick the former Shelka 04 coach last week. He was in the running for the England job and was interviewed. And he speaks very good English.

Southampton made it very public that they would be "reviewing his position" this summer which suggests to me he's not been valued as he should be. I reckon he could be tempted away quite easily with a decent paycheck and the knowledge that in Parish he'd have a chairman who backs him (as he has every manager) to the hilt.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

I think that 'Rangnick' is the chap who played for Southwick in the 'Sussex County League' whilst studying at the 'Sussex University' in Brighton.

It would seem his name's Rangnick and, before my couple of minutes of research, I've never heard of him. I'd be very surprised if he was on our radar or us on his as he's spent his entire career in Germany. I can't imagine why he was in the running for the England job.

He got Shalke to the 1/4 finals of the champions league few years ago.
