It is very difficult to deal with BG as he is irrational, repetitive and is clearly a lone voice in an overwhelming world where his opinion simply doesn't sit well with the vast majority on this particular point. Whereas nobody is suggesting WH is the best thing since sliced bread or that he is in the top 10 in the World; he just wont accept that WH is NOT as poor that he thinks is (in his own mind) and that until we all start to agree with him we are all wrong, wrong and wrong. (I pause there and remind everybody of his World class game against Chelsea, Clean Sheet Against Hull and Arsenal and that he has pulled off some great saves in Hong Kong too - all irrelevant according BG as it doesn't fit his determined yet probably blind agenda) He will keep highlighting this thread to the irritation of the vast majority even if he alienates himself. I for one am bored of this thread and it is beyond amusing. It is controlled by BG and the more we feed the illogical reasoning the worse it will be. So unless we ALL AGREE with him he will keep getting irritated. I provide a link

I didn't even have to read past the highlighted effort from you to know that the rest is going to be absolute flannel. Come with a more sane response and I'll have a read. Until then I won't waste my time.

Where do we think Hennessy ranks in the PL ? Would any other team in the division want him ? Teams know they can shoot from distance against him, he doesn't command his area and for all the good saves he's made (you can put a highlight reel of amazing saves from any goalkeeper) he has conceded too many sloppy goals. The defence doesn't help, but he is still poor. Put it like this, if we were told tomorrow that Martin Kelly was our first choice centre back would we be happy ? Even if he is the best goalkeeper at the club, he is not good enough.

If Wayne was such a poor keeper how does he make saves like these:- Terrible video. There are some good stops in there, but there are also saves that look good because his position is poor and he's flat footed.

Just as a side note I am fully supportive of whichever players put on the shirt, I'll sing the Wayne Hennessy chant if it gets going. But I don't think he is a PL standard player. Compare him to Wilf, Benteke, Cabaye, Luka. They are quality, he is not.

Well that your opinion, our premier league status tell you he's adequate at this level. I'd love us to get an improvement but if it meant we stuck with Hennessy but signed Sakho. I'd accept it.

Why does our Premier League status mean he is good enough ? Are you suggesting any payer in a Premier League squad is good enough for the division ?

I do trust him more since he stopped wearing Umbro goalie gloves. Smacks of dodginess.
