True enough, but I'm still making a few quid, and I never really bet more than that anyway (as I don't like to lose). The only way to win in the longer term is to bet bigger on single games where you reckon the bookies have got the odds wrong - accas are generally a mug's game (and the bookies love them) but they do add interest to a set of fixtures. Anyone who actually sees gambling as a way to make real money in the long term is likely up for a hard fall sooner rather than later - I treat it as a fee in return for the added interest in games. To be honest, the main reason I openend an online account in the first place was that if I walk into a bookies, I'll part with 10 or 20 quid, whereas if I'm clicking buttons, it doesn't seem so bad to part with just 50p or a quid - for me it's the same fun, (and I'm still sitting on around a £50 profit for the season so far) without any real downside

I had to close my online account as the temptation to have a bet was too great so I restrict it to 1 or 2 weekend bets and I have to go down the shop to do it. I think i'm the opposite of you. I had to close my online account as the temptation to have a bet was too great so I restrict it to 1 or 2 weekend bets and I have to go down the shop to do it.

I'd steer clear of that one.
