I had my booster this week, feeling fine.

Nice one. Good that they've started rolling it out. All indications are that it boosts antibodies dramatically, so can't be a bad thing. Will probably be once yearly going forward I would imagine, and targetted at point of most need.

To a large degree, we all make choices in life. Most of us go for the lower-risk option when making decisions that impact our lives, and those close to us.
The way figures have been presented to the public, largely by the Government, is that vaccination seems to be having a positive effect in reducing severe illness and death.
It could be argued, that death/sickness rates are lowering (assuming the figures were compiled in the same way) , because a large proportion of extremely vulnerable people are already dead.

It is very difficult to get accurate comparitive data, because the method of compilation changed from the initial datum, and other countries have adopted their own methodologies completely.
Track and Trace would have been of great assistance in verifying potential communication linkages, but that was an abject failure.

Sensible post.

Once the virus had taken significant hold the less effective 'track and trace' was and the more of a blunt instrument it became.

Plus no doubt some of the above are a miscategorised 'i'm ill, it must be covid', but still it clearly lingers with many. It's worth noting that the loss of taste and smell for instance is caused by damage to the brain ratehr than anything to do with the nose or mouth, though of course with many those symptoms go away eventually. Much of the above is pro vaccine too. Logically that will reduce the numbers of those left with long term health issues.

[Link] - Portsmouth girl, 15, dies of Covid on day she was due jab

Clearly very unfortunate, due to her age, as the vast majority shrug it off. Unfortunate too that in her case she was going to get jabbed and the timing was just out.

Unvaccinated pregnant women make up one fifth of most critically ill coronavirus patients in England - [Link]

Quote Almost a fifth of the most critically ill COVID patients in England in recent months have been pregnant women, according to NHS England, which is urging expectant mothers to get their jabs.

Figures show that between July 1 and September 30, 17% of patients receiving treatment through a lung-bypass machine were unvaccinated pregnant women.

Expectant mothers accounted for 32% of all females aged between 16 and 49 in intensive care on ECMO - a medical technique used when a patient's lungs are so badly damaged that a ventilator cannot maintain oxygen levels.

A surface reading of this would be that many women are concerned about having the vaccine while pregnant. Fair enough to have concerns. It's a significant finding then to note that while there's currently no reason to believe it's harmful for a pregnant women to get vaccinated, this suggests that avoiding getting vaccinated may well be a bad move.

This is all about risk assessment.

In the mainstream there is a deliberate avoiding of anything negative regarding the vaccines. They don't want to touch it with a barge pole. However there are several concerned voices being raised, for example Project Veritas's investigation showed the disconnect between what the mainstream will say and what's going on behind the mainstream screen.

People want black and white, right and wrong, because the modern culture is obsessed with safety. In my view overly obsessed with it to an unrealistic extent.

The mainstream have been very clear and definite that they want you to take vaccines and boosters to the extent where your job and living are at stake as are your freedoms(which apparently you should be grateful that they allow you to have). We will see how this will be regarded down the line.

I had the vaccine in June and had serious side effects. I was bed ridden for 3 weeks. Oh well, it'll be worth it, I thought. Now, I'm in bed with Covid. Breathing difficulties, fever etc. I can't be the only one. When contact tracing were in touch, they were not surprised so obviously pretty standard.

Here's to your quick recovery mate.

When I had covid I didn't have the breathing difficulties but massive fatigue, which for a period put me in bed for a couple of days. But I recovered very quickly after that.
