That at least made me smile, though others could challenge. I though am often the lone voice standing against a tide from far over to the right.

I don’t though have a little red van, contrary to some here. I have a conservative blue golf. Solid and reliable. Something that stays on the straight and narrow without swerving left or right. Something that doesn’t need reform.

Move here! It’s far from perfect but I have a NHS dentist, was seen, x-rayed, fitted with a (free) orthopaedic shoe and back in the car within an hour at the MIU last week and seen by a fracture consultant at the main hospital this week. I can usually get to see a GP within 2 days and the same day if it’s urgent.

So it’s not broken beyond repair. It’s under stress. There has been a very noticeable surge in the recruitment of overseas staff locally to ensure it remains functioning. Without them things would really be in crisis.

Strangely whatever happens 500 miles away isn't that much consolation.

There are always excuses dressed up and exploited as reasons. Hitler found some, the Jews being one. Farage is exploiting immigration. Something which is deeply unpopular with some but an inevitability in our current position and for which no immediate change is remotely possible.

What are other parties expoiting ?
Tories is how much extra tax labour will take and the Rwanda thing.( immigrants)
Labour how bad it is the tories doing the Rwanda thing ( immigrants)
Greens an open door policy to all ( immigration)
Lib Dem’s another open door policy and how unfair the Rwanda thing is.(immigrants)
So have a think about who is really exploiting immigration and really it being a common theme. Pointing at Farage is purely because he is your target as well as trump and TR.

Reform have come out swinging & are demanding Channel 4 are investigated.

Channel 4 does have form for being loose with facts, Cheddar man was when I first realised they couldn't be trusted.

Obvious Reform feel there's a case to be answered here.

The mountains are calling & I must go.

Still the NHS. Same system. It’s not broken here. I acknowledge that the lifestyle and environment is different so recruitment will be easier but many new arrivals have little or no knowledge of that before they arrive, and not a lot whilst here. Most just work, eat and sleep.

Just the second worst waiting time for A & E in the country. Bang up job there then.
The point remains that when we needed the NHS it couldn't deliver.

Whataboutism is just a diversion. We were talking about the exposure of racism inside Reform, when Farage’s oratory was raised as a positive. I am just pointing out how it can be a negative. None of your examples have any connection to oratory.

As I said elsewhere I ignore manifestos, as they are all unrealistic and unachievable bs, destroyed as soon as the election is over.

As I said it isn’t perfect. There was a queue of helicopters waiting to land patients this afternoon. A & E struggles during the summer because of increased numbers of visitors but the MIUs work well so unless it’s a real emergency best to use one. Not everyone does though.

No health service like the NHS could simply cope with a crisis like Covid. To expect that is unrealistic. You cannot provide limitless resources for boundless demands or most of the time half the staff would have nothing to do. When a crisis like that happens you need to intervene to try to spread the load, free up resources by postponing non urgent demands and try to reduce demand with preventative measures. Which we did.

I suspect they are trying to throw seeds of doubt into the minds of the voters knowing there won’t be time to dispel them before next Thursday, after which it will disappear from view anyway.

So, if illegal immigration was stopped overnight, Farage wouldn’t have any momentum, but those who make decisions on our behalf can’t or won’t do so, hence he exists.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.
