A million pounds a year salary and Lineker didn't even see 2 balls were on the pitch. The rest of them totally biased hypocrites only winning at any costs was their coverage of the match.

After all the attention given to BBC high-earners, and the likes of Lineker (et al.) taking a pay cut, when BBC accounts were issued in the last few weeks some questions were raised. Claudia Winkleman (sp.) was no longer in the top 10 or 50 earners. Where had her massive salary gone ? It transpires another company was set up , called BBC studios, which pays out to a lot of former BBC top earners, thus hiding them away from the BBC accounts. You can't believe anything at face value any more.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

And herein lies the problem. To hide salaries from the politicians and the public the BBC allows stars to set up companies which the BBC pays who in turn pay the star. Some stars don't even appear on the salary list others do but the bulk off the earnings are actually hidden. Rumour has it that includes Mr Lineker.
In other words the BBC has got itself into a right old muddle which is costing the taxpayer. Its time that HMRC / Government closed this loophole. People like Gary Lineker are employees in all but name they are not self employed at the BBC. they are self employed for the likes of advertising and occasional appearance on BT sport.
