Good to see the hugely overrated HF back in action today in Block B, where they belong, and combine so well with the guys in the Arthur. Yes it was great to have them back giving the crowd a lift will be fantastic when they are in full swing in a central position it could be the envy of the league with others wanting to follow suit.

The singers have moved around for my fifty plus years I thought about it today and realised they aren’t in the best position, nor in the historic position for the singers. The noise gets lost a bit. I see the logic in wanting a move

Come off it, the difference in atmosphere today was the performance. If the teams playing well and winning the atmosphere will always be good with or without the HF Sorry but you couldnt be more wrong. HF singing before the ko. The atmosphere is dead without the HF...... not as you say always good with or without them.

If it were up to me,I would cantilever the arthur and at the same time infill and cover the bit between the Arthur and the Homesdale. Might even make it standing. That would massively increase the noise. With HF going central, any new incoming singers who want to stand will be sorted and it would really become explosive.

Why break a Palace trait of doing things half cocked?

What I suspect, and hope will happen, is that safe standing will be legalised soon and it will coincide well with the opening of the new stand. The entire lower tier will become a safe standing zone and as a result many long term lower tier ST holders will move to the new stand where they can sit, freeing up space. Then all the other likeminded singers, who failed to get in the current new section, will start to form as close to the middle as they can, thus extending the singing section. Everyone will be happy.

Dream on. This is Palace and Parish. There’s as much chance of the new stand being finished soon so that it coincides with safe standing as there was of the Holmesdale originally being built with a roof more than 25 years ago with a terrace still allowed. Probably partly why the HF actions. The only reason it was built was because we received a sports grant. (Noades never would’ve paid for the whole thing when there were bank accounts to be kept topped up and things in Oxted and elsewhere to buy)

Great to have the fanatics back, made a massive difference and you could see the players vibing off them. And just imagine 12 or so games time and it's going to be even better with all the singers at the back of the Holmesdale!
