I'm not sure, as a lot of black sportsmen and women have been vocal in their support at this time too. Even Iron Mike took the knee a day or two back [Link] Then again he was also talking about making a comeback too so maybe it's part beliefs, part promotion. Taking the knee for the left and black people is seen as 'the way' even if you dont think it necessary I reckon. Imagine refusing and the kick back. Self preservation society. Even kier starmer is at it, in his office. What does it actually signify anyway.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Yup that film based mainly on the truth. It was more the fact that 'colonialism' seems to have been rolled into the protest i.e 'Gone With The Wind' is 'out' because of slavery while 'Zulu' will be 'out' because of 'colonialism'. On that basis I guess the days of 'El Cid' are numbered, with its depiction of Moorish colonisation in Spain.

Where taking the knee had a more British feel. Apparently Michael Caine didn’t say, “stop throwing those bloody spears”. I was so disappointed when someone pointed that out.

Nobody in their right mind wants anything like that, whatever their political persuasion. I would hope and expect those involved are found and face the punishment they so richly deserve. Arming the Police wouldn't help though. It would just ramp up the trouble and I would not expect that our Police would ask for it. Providing them with better non-lethal methods of control and restraint and faster back up seem more likely to me to be their preferred options. Why anyone would wish such things reach Cornwall beats me. Surely it would be a kinder thought to hope that the peace and tranquillity of Cornwall reaches everywhere. Mind you having lived myself in Wisbech I can understand than anyone who still does might feel a little envious of those who have managed to escape.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Considering only about half a dozen countries have unarmed police that’s a lot of people who aren’t in their right mind. Our police are armed more often than not anyway In February 2015, The Times reported that most forces in England and Wales dispatch armed officers to domestic incidents and other routine police call-outs based on information released under Freedom of Information laws; of the 43 police forces sent a request by the Times, half gave only partial information or rejected requests outright.
