I recall such scenarios in my lothario days.
Just when one is given the impression by a 'Belle of the ball' that she would be willing to engage in a further slow dance she wanders off into the arms of another chap and any thoughts one might have of conjugal coupling with her are extinguished.

Reminds me of when my date was caught doing the naughty in woods with a six former during my end of school prom. Still haven't got over the trauma and that was 16 years ago. Every player who chooses West Ham over us brings it flooding back. &#129315;

I expect we wont bring anyone in or it will be on the final day due to waiting for more players to leave trying to cut deals for example loan.

I would rather we pay a bit more and get it done now new players take a bit of time to settle in and games are passing by.

We need to bring in around three players

Be very dissapointed if nobody comes in.

Personally I don’t think we need anymore, happy with our squad, keep the money till January window

People who are happy with what we have need to consider injuries.
If say Zahs and Mateta pick up injuries at the same time do we have sufficient cover?
To me we are one midfielder and one striker light, needing options to replace Gallagher and Benteke.
I’d rate the current window around 5 out of 10 at the moment. We have only bought in one first team starter.

That’s fine at the moment, but once the rigours of the premier league start to take their tole and suspensions kick in, January is a long way off, especially as we’ve got to pack a bit more than usual in before the World Cup starts

And also opponents who bring on 5 subs of high quality

I agree about the 5/10. Apart from a new midfielder, we've not really done anything with the first 11.

It’s not as if we have sold any first team players though. The first team is a good standard, it’s not so easy to go out and improve on those players with the crazy sums being expected.

I think keeping the team together should also count on how well the window has gone. It’s not just about how many players you buy.

Any update on your last post Dazza, see below. Are palace still confident on deal for Gallagher, more to the point have they ever been.

We have more interest in Moriba & Gallagher, palace confident they can still get Gallagher on another loan I think this will go to the wire.
