He is guessing that PVA and Benteke are possibly the only out of contract players who could get better deals, and they already seem to be going, so he is prepared to take that risk. Cahill might go if offered a player / coach role I would want him to stay. As for the rest they will get offers of course but not likely to be as good as now. Townsend has hinted at an off from a CL club in Turkey but does he want to uproot his family. I think if our new manager wants them they will re-sign on smaller shorter contracts with possibly Benteke the only winner if he decides to stay.

Would an experienced manager such as Nuno, Dyche or Howe be happy or the right choice to work in our management structure which incorporates a Sporting Director?

find it more than worrying, the delay in manager & thus further delay with squad overhaul.

Only Lampard or Dyche for me

we have wasted millions on players over the last 3/4 years and we will have about 50m extra a year if no contracts are renewed, surely we can push the boat out a bit for the most important person at the club.

Is Dazza hibernating?
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Yep. Mutual agreement though. He could say whatever he wants about his next job. It's not a gagging order! We will never know full details but they can be gagging orders for a period. Usually for specific period ie he could not have acted as a consultant to City for Cup Final. It often prohibits any contact with competitors or customers for that period. Often technically you are still employed but not required to work. In this case he almost certainly had a clause not to work in EPL till season ended.

It’s ok to say he has done this at this level and that at level, but managing reserves and youth is a lot different than Championship and Premiership football. I haven't discounted it! I stated that unless there was mutual agreement of the contract, Lampard is free to do as he pleases. Why do you feel the need to sneer at other poster's views? You may know contract law, but we aren't talking about Filipino carers here. There will be top level lawyers involved. Lampard's legal team would not get into the situation you describe. Our carers largely are not Filipina and there is no need to be dismissive of them either The Law is the Law. So you think I haven’t worked with top level Barristers?
