If Roy and Ray go , I’ll only be happy if freedman goes with them. Otherwise it’s a no win.

As others have said there are many, young and hungry Managers out there that could do a far better job than Roy with this squad. Compare us and Southampton - difference a young, hungry and ambitious Manager - know one had heard of Hasenhüttl 2 years ago..!! If Southampton can do it why not Palace? Personally I think Thomas Frank would be an excellent and exciting appointment. COYP Yes. I'm asking those who want Roy sacked exactly who they think he could be replaced by that would improve the side. And yes, I'm asking because it isn't obvious to me that there is a feasible option out there. Frank has done well at Brentford, but not much more so than their previous coaches like Warburton or Smith. I tend think their results are more to do with them being a well run club with an established model (which is nothing like ours) than any great input from the coach. In terms of results, he literally can't hold a candle to someone like Warnock, or the Serbian guy Watford and Fulham used to get promoted.

Iv watched this thread grow every time we loose a game. Iv Have had a season ticket for 25 years and remember on freezing December nights loosing to Grimsby town at home 3-0 and charlton. We've come on a hell of a way from there. Honestly I don't know what the answer is . I think as a tactically defensive coach Roy is up there as a top coach but I think the board have not supported him in bringing the players that he's actually wanted. He told me he desperately wanted 2 strikers 3 windows in a row and still the board didn't get who he wanted. I know when results don't honour waybthe manager is the one we all look at but we as a club are as good as we will ever be.. I am an ambitious guy and dream of winning the prem bit lets be real for a minute. I remember West ham fans hating bfs 6years ago but every year they stayed up in 'the promised land they in my opinion haven't improved but have spend 100s of millions . Does everyone remember when we got promoted how elated we were turning up watching our team play in the best league in the world buzzing every game even when we struggled. We need to get behind everyone at the club and some how create a buzz again i think we've all forgotten where we came from in 2010. I knowing hard but while he's in charge lets just support Roy. He really does have palaces best interests at heart .

Have been very pro Roy since the start but the manner of today’s defeat was the first time I’ve been worried. I still back him to turn it around, but we need to make some major changes from today. I’d like to see Clyne, Tompkins, Mitchell, Reidewald and Ayew starting against Leicester. The players need to know that today was totally unacceptable.

You seem to be in a distinct minority who can’t see a feasible option that could do a better job than Roy,,!! On Frank I disagree - as I said think he would be an excellent choice..!! But you seem to think Colin would be/is better - everyone to their own and all that..!!

My point is that based on results even the likes of warnock (who I certainly wouldn't want back) have better records than Frank, who would be your first choice.

Not really. Theres plenty of managers that could do a better job than Roy. Prior to his appointment, we'd had a rampant finish to the season and lost our first 3 games All it took was a manager that didn't play two 20 year old full backs at centre back in a 3-4-3 and we were fine. Frankly, all is required is someone who'll play their players in their correct position and play to the players strengths. Roy's reminds me of a throw back from a bygone age of cronyism when Britain was the sick man of Europe. He doesn't have the talent or ability to do the job, but fits in with the powers that be. There must be hundreds of intelligent, ambitious managers who want his job but have been locked out by an old boys club. If there are hundreds of these managers, who are they, beyond the stale suggestions of Dyche and Howe.

I suspect not many supporters expect us to get anything from the Leicester game so a defeat, unless it is substantial, will not be the catalyst for large swathes joining the 'Roy out' camp. A defeat against Leicester followed by another defeat against rock-bottom Sheff Utd and the 'Roy out' camp will be significantly swelled with nostrils flaring like an angry bullock.HOL will be awash with vesuvian eruptions.
