More elitist blow jobbing by you. The reality is that the judiciary is full of middle class left wingers who look down at Robinson and are lock step with the government.....Arguing about who implemented what is like arguing about which soldier fired the bullet....Most of them are on the same side against him.....just like you are. The re-charging of Robinson was a decision made by the Attorney General Geoffrey Cox a sitting Tory MP. Your arguments....as usual....are holed below the waterline. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Jul 2019 11.59am) That is truly the most ridiculous load of bs. Firstly, the judiciary are obliged by the very definition of their job to follow the law. No-one knows what any Judge's political sympathies might be for they are never discussed. We aren't the USA! If I were to guess my instinct would be that on average, due to their usual backgrounds, they would more likely lean to the right than the left, but that this would not affect their judgement. Their loyalty is to the law alone as anyone who has had anything to do with the Courts will know. Yes, the AG made the decision to recharge and yes he is a Tory. He could hardly be anything else given how the government is currently constituted! To assign political motivation to his decision though is insulting, given that "Robinson" has just been found guilty. The AG's only reason for not going ahead with a retrial would have been if he was legally advised it would fail. Politics would not have entered into the process. The bias shown in this kind of defence of "Robinson" is as extreme as it is disingenuous. The man interfered in the judicial process and has been found guilty. His action could have threatened the successful prosecution and confinement of a large group of dangerous criminals. Those who want to see such people behind bars ought to be welcoming "Robinson's" conviction rather than condemning it.

I have already pointed out where this wasn't the case. If it had been a group of white peodophiles they would have been reported on. This happened with the celebrity cases and with the Westminster cases. They were reported on as being in the public interest - even though many accusations have been proven to be false. And I have already pointed out why you are wrong. Unless you are the Judge and in possession of all the facts you cannot possibly know whether reporting restrictions are required or whether public interest considerations apply. Nor do you have any knowledge over whether or when the reporting restrictions might have been lifted. For all we know there may be continuing investigations which require them to remain in place. Jumping to conclusions is as rarely a good idea as interfering with the judicial process. The government are not involved because the law does not permit them to be involved and any attempt to do so would very quickly be headline news.

Nope. Journalists have been hounding the accused outside courts in trials for many many decades. It's complete and utter hypocrisy. The placing of press restrictions on these trials is a tool of political suppression by whoever implemented it....The judge who threw this out originally said that Robinson hadn't endangered the trial and the new charges reflect the state twisting and turning....what was the chief charge? 'Subjective recklessness' The 'causing of anxiety' to the defendants.....It's beyond a joke. Political decisions because of who he is. You may be happy with this outcome but I very much regard this as stroking fire. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Jul 2019 11.52am) More bs. Anyone, journalist's included, who did what "Robinson" did would rightly be arrested and charged. Taking photographs of an accused arriving at Court is not hounding them! Quoting a Judge out of context means nothing. He faced a retrial and was found guilty. That's ALL that matters. Due process matters. Politics are not involved in due process. Defending a criminal ought make no-one happy.

Because Lennon is his name. See multiple earlier comments. He uses a variety of names, TR is only one of five. And it's the one he has least right to use, he simply stole it off a harder thug than himself. And how did your parents choose Mapletree?

It's pretty plain why this was taken seriously There were multiple linked cases as most on here delight in telling us. Nothing like the cases that were in the media as they were each stand-alone. As previously stated, he was already on a suspended sentence. It really doesn't take genius to understand the law, simply a little attention. Linked cases or not, asking defendants what they think of their verdict on their walk to the court is not committing contempt of court. Reporters and paps do this all the time. The prosecution's case was that Tommy caused these now convicted paedophiles undue stress. I think we can agree that newspapers in breach of contempt of court over a trial for murder is far worse. They've just been fined. [Link]

The parents involved, and the girls themselves of course, may well have benefited from knowledge of the risk.

Please try and actually be funny. You're an accountant, you wouldn't know funny if it came in your mouth and paid for your taxi home.....but you could probably estimate the calories. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Jul 2019 7.46pm)

If it is a Muslim rape gang then it will be deemed not in the public interest to report on it.
