Reports are saying that Watford have rejected an approach from Burnley to speak with their manager Mackay.....and i'm sure they were previously interested in Howe. My guess is that Howe may have been waiting for this news, and as long as he is happy to relocate up North Burnley would surely be the most appealing offer in terms of both money and league position.

If Howe was coming to Palace he would have said so today! Time to move on quickly with "Roy Hodgson" or the next stand up johnny...

For god's sake - there is absolutely no chance of Roy Hodgson choosing Palace as his next club. He's a top, top manager and will be Premier League or abroad.

If you reach for the sky, you have got a good chance of hitting the ceiling. If you dont ask him you dont know!
Your sights are set too low, or are Palace on par with the pound shops in your opinion?

No, you're absolutely right. So, before we waste our time with Hodgson, we should surely look to Mourinho, Sir Alex, Wenger - more realistically Martin O'Neill's out of work at the moment.

Aiming high is one thing - wasting valuable time is quite another.

None of those you mentioned, would be interested in Palace. But Roy's a free agent and a Croydon Boy, played for the palace and at his age he might be looking to come home! A phone call is not a waste of time. What we are doing is a complete waste of time and a bit sad. With that thought in mind I'm off.

Ok, we get it, you want Roy Hodgson... and you know that he's from Croydon.

To be fair, Mourinho has said he wouldn't mind managing Palace.

It depends on how many posts per page your preferences are set to display. I think I'm on about page 22.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Im really getting bored with this, he should have already made his decision. He is playing Palace, Charlton and Bournemouth on.He hasn't even made his decision yet. Let him stay at Bournemouth,It probably shows that he will never be able to leave the safety of Bournemouth. He has Bored me and i Think CPFC2010 need to appoint someone else as this guy is getting on everyones nerves.

I agree mattcatford. Get someone else in. Boring me and annoying me now, just a waiting game. Really dont think he is coming to Palace now, would have loved him to but think not now. Get someone in for Swansea and get some new players in!! Hughton will do for me

I know it's frustrating but it is far more important to get the right man for the long term rather than get the wrong man in quickly.

He's got every right to think about his future - it's a massive decision for him. It is our fault we've picked such a crucial time to be looking for a new manager - not Eddie Howe's or anyone else's.
