I was gutted when we sold Johnny Byrne, Alan Stephenson, Bill Glazier, Kenny Sansom, Steve Kember, Ian Wright, Peter Nicholas, Nigel Martyn, Vince Hilaire even John Bostock but CPFC remains. It’s been 60 years and I’m not stopping now.

Where will that leave him?

Beyond wishing our girls all the best I think 99% of punters aren't any closer to paying to watch that dross. It'll go full circle anyway and AWB represents part of that with his excellent, almost throw-back slide tackles. As you say, as soon as the game goes full non-contact it's finished.
