This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Congrats to Steve Parish & the Management for working so hard to get to this stage. The plans look amazing & I'm proud to be a Palace fan today with the new stand's nod to our ealy history. Brilliant job.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Gantry is coming down, new media centre in the new main stand, so cameras aren’t filming into the sun, a problem they have with the current layout Originally posted by tonymikejoe
I am shocked Parrish is moving the tv gantry to the new development, thus taking up valuable seat room and beaming views of the Arthur Waite all around the globe. Full credit to him if he does dismantle the current AW gantry and allow a better view for hundreds of paying supporters. Unexpected.

Very unusual given that most grounds have the cameras opposite the team benches as its a common camera shot. All I can think is that modern camera technology means we will not need the gantry like we used to.
Also, I'm presuming that the Tunnel Club means a proper tunnel? In the middle of the stand? It's a minor thing but in the back of my mind there's something Mickey Mouse about having the enter from the corner.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Yes, fantastic job, let's just hope Croydon Council are as enthusiastic about the plans and give it the quick nod of approval. I would be very suprised if their chief planner is not all over this already anyway, because you do not release this sort of info if it's not going to happen.

My thoughts exactly. But that could be the final phase in the future once we are an established top 6 club
I also saw that, but then the 'camera' pans round to show a pillar. Dont think they are going just yet! However, if they do move the media centre over to the main stand, I cant imagine they are going to want to be broadcasting the Arthur Wait around the globe for long, so that might be next to get rennovated

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Yes just saw in the VR movie that the pillars are staying and there seems to be no new roof planned. Find that disappointing really but we can't have it all at once of course. Originally posted by balfmalark

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Looks great hopefully the height of the new main stand will not be a problem with the residents. I seem to remember that the last time we submitted plans that was an issue. Amyway here's hoping it goes through
