I have just sent in my postal vote. First time ever voting. I voted for Reform. Lucky you! I now live in Canada but am a registered voter and applied for a postal vote. I was informed that it would be mailed out to me on 24th June. I still have not received it. The chances of it arriving, my completing it and it being received back to be recorded on 4th July are zero. Ah well that's democracy for you.

Well, it maybe down where you are, but, as an ex serving Royal Navy Personnel, we were taught that 'evening' was 18.00-20.00hrs, 20.00-03.00hrs was 'night', 03.00-12.00hrs was 'morning' & finally, 12'00-18.00hrs was 'afternoon'. Now, if you disagree with this, im sure the Admiralty would happily change hundred years of times & tradition, just to suit you. Enjoy your bowls, i'm sure it's the only thing you're actually good at. I am perfectly certain the Admiralty wouldn’t change anything but the routines in the military, primarily to describe shift patterns, have no relevance to how civilians live their lives.

I wonder if they will have any actors in the audience masquerading as Reform party members Edited by Spiderman (28 Jun 2024 6.49pm) Actors aren’t necessary are they? Not everyone who will support Reform have dubious attitudes on matters of race or identity but those who do are likely to be supporting Reform. Back during Brexit I engaged some UKIP supporters in conversation who were pushing the message at a booth during a community event. They weren’t carefully trained to avoid making careless remarks and spoke from the heart. Racist Dave from my pub would have been right at home.

We’ll see but it misses the point doesn’t it? Even if it turns out he was a stooge what he said wasn’t denied or decried by the others there. That is the point. These are the type of views associated with the sort of people attracted to Reform. Not all of them, but enough to be both worrying and embarrassing causing immediate denials and distancing. Reform have a very dodgy slate of candidates, so we can be extremely grateful we still have first past the post as our system, and very few will be.

If this 'expose' of Reform is a channel 4 stitch up then it shows they are panicked by the impact Reform is having. But it's clumsy. This guy being an actor with a website proclaiming he does undercover filming? Makes me think they might have been trying this for a while with genuine Reform campaigners and not got the result they were after. So they have taken risks.

Showing on C4 on Monday July 1st at 21:00. 'Skint: The Truth About Britain's Broken Economy'. Could be provocative - even mentioning the B word.

I remember when polls before Brexit clearly pointed to a Remain outcome, and yet the majority voted to leave the EU. In subsequent polling since the Reform Channel 4 expose will the party lose support and fall a couple of points? People may not want to be aligned with the comments in public, but in the polling booth…?
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Would be worse had there been any strikes under Blair, thanks for the daily chortle though
