Do not believe we will sign anybody else this particular window, given the number of returning injured players(Benteke + Patrick back in training) and our sitting on 30 points, which our American owners will deem satisfactory. It's looking that way, especially with Roy saying that having the players return is akin to new signings.

The biggest issue this season has been for a large part we have had no right side with Andros and Ward being out. This means if teams shut down the left we are impotent. Add to that there is no backup for PvA (Riedewald is not an attacking left-back) That was a huge failure on the part of the recruitment team. I can almost guarantee that when Andros is back or we sign a quality winger like Carrasco we will be much more threatening. In Roy's system having only one winger is like a bird trying to take off with one wing.

I wonder if this is Roy's last season?personally I think if this rumoured takeover happens they will bring in their own manager as new owners tend to do.

Tend to agree with that - Plus, just listening to Lineker and the panel talking about when men were men and putting out strong teams in the cup and not being tired having played every match. I’m still sore how we went out to Derby and lost to Southampton. We should be playing in the cup today - Grrrr! Think it is more down to our missing right side than the tiredness issue together with Luka’s stupidity against Derby?

Our problem is Roy say system every week and same players and when we do have injury he just drops somebody in to fill the gap (we are poor against teams below us because of this setup) The right side does look weak. Luka has not been that great this season anyway I do think some of the players may be getting bored with this style which I don't blame them.

Yes but because we pay players so much and have a threadbare squad we are at risk if we get a couple more injuries, even if we’re eleventh. I remember that Pardew season and we’re being run to be sold on, not to maximise football performances.

Somethings not right we all know that. I think Roy will be gone at the end of season personally. The hold up in contract negotiations is telling. Edited by MonsterMunch (29 Jan 2020 7.32am) Edited by MonsterMunch (29 Jan 2020 7.32am)

I’d be more concerned if Roy was actually happy with the current situation.
