This post has been merged from a topic called 'Benteke' by Penge Eagle When is Hodgson going to realise Benteke cannot score goals. He is a complete waste of money as a striker. His 2 golden chances today would have been goals if Dwight Gayle or even Wickham with one leg had been there. Yes he did make some good moves in defence but he was bought as a goal scorer. We'd be better off with a couple of Swan Vesta's, at least they can strike. Our defence is still a shambles at times and should be rebuilt around Wan Basake a brilliant young player. No doubt we'll sell him before our next season, probably in Ch/ship

Benteke is awful game after game after game, but what is more shockingly awful is that Hodgson keeps picking him - taking the ball off Luca should have seen the end of him, but no, and we have paid the price. Grow a pair Roy and leave the egotistical berk out.

It's frustrating i no, some other fan's can put up with his form but it's time for change. well overdue mate.

We are going to need him in the last 6 games, he has the ability just no confidence.

Sometimes I truly believe if I parked my wheely bin in the penalty area it would be more successful as it has some sharp corners and could easily deflect more than 2 balls into the net over a season.

if he should be dropped and roy knows this then do it cant keep using excuse dont have anyone else to play that position that is basically saying no one else can be slotted in which is rubbish look how sako changed his game plus townsend/zaha did alright up top when we had no others roy really likes him
