This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Lots of opportunities to get this bang on right. Let's hope they don't squander that opportunity. Safe standing, sufficent toilets and refreshment areas and a flexibility that will permit further stand improvements without impacting what they have already done. Quite excited about this, but amazed at the cost given we are not doing more than 1 and a bit stands

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Good news lads! As a nod to history, they're keeping the original bogs! Seriously, that's beautiful. The arch with the eagle is an iconic piece of design. The contrast between the current inside view of the main stand and the new look could not be more dramatic. 75 - 100mm is a lot of money. But, for what these suggests they're getting, that's a bargain. Also, the additional capacity will allow the club to ease some of the FFP constraints by getting greater match day revenue. Glad all over.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I can see that happening. They’ll probably stick a new tv studio in the new main stand freeing up extra space for seats in that corner.

The gantry is coming down so I'm not so sure about that. It would be a bit nuts not to have our best side on view to the world.

How can beginning to redevelop out crappy old ground be pointless? If we do go down our attendances are likely to be much higher than they were than our previous season in the champions. Having a bigger stadium would be vital to bringing in extra tickets revenue to make up for lost TV money. To extend the length of the pitch, will it result in a reduction in capacity for the white horse lane end?

I am shocked Parrish is moving the tv gantry to the new development, thus taking up valuable seat room and beaming views of the Arthur Waite all around the globe. Full credit to him if he does dismantle the current AW gantry and allow a better view for hundreds of paying supporters. Unexpected.

Very unusual given that most grounds have the cameras opposite the team benches as its a common camera shot. All I can think is that modern camera technology means we will not need the gantry like we used to. Unexpected.
