The reason it's advised is because reuse is less effective.....So if you want P3 standards it should be single use.

Personally, I view FFP3 respirators as a key purchase going forward. I don't really see them as required for Covid however. Instead people should realise that research on biological weapons is ongoing and advancing around the world and it just makes sense to realise that much more dangerous viruses are possible.

My view on covid is that masks make little difference as opposed to social distancing, so sure FFP2 is sufficient if you want to wear a mask.....however, if you are in close proximity to people for extended periods non P3 masks can be a false assurance.

Yep. If the hysterical focused on this instead of people concerned of the repercussions of restrictions then they wouldn’t be so disturbed.

Proof of double jab required end of September for nightclubs and other big gatherings. Will this include football?

Edit: it’s crowded indoor events

So that's the vaccine passports they promised they would never introduce then?

I don't think I've heard one honest word from the state from the beginning of this.

Are you awake yet to what is going on…

Nightclubs first then pubs, restaurants, shops to follow.

This is not about a virus…

I’m vaccinated but deplore the idea of mandatory vaccines which vaccine passports essentially are. However, I don’t believe they’ll come in. It’s more government nudging imo.

Another pointless decision being that people will have been going to nightclubs for six weeks prior to that. There will be a whole host of teenagers and twenty somethings not being allowed to club from September, despite being already shrugged off covid in the weeks prior.

There's little more that we can do now. Coming into contact with covid is unavoidable and so people need to consider that if they are hesitant to crack on.

It's still understandable that life would be difficult for those with elderly family members or those with immune issues, but in general after vaccination people are in the best position to face it now even if they're not in tip top health.

With the variants I think it's a case of 'whatever will be will be' now, as with this virus we're a planet rather than a country, so just have to hope any changes are in a direction that favours us. There's an argument post vaccination for coming into contact with the virus (not hiding away!) in order to keep your immunity more aligned with what's going on in the real world.

The prime minister’s glory day was alas, such a disappointment.

He had planned an event to declare his own VE Day – virus victory – “by summoning the spirit of Churchill with appropriately stirring rhetoric” at “an historic venue associated with the wartime leader”, according to a government source.

In the light of events even Downing Street could take it no more, and cancelled it.

'V' for virus victory etc.

I think the next few months will teach all of us so much more.

I think the government have seriously looked into the compulsion idea and personally I don't think something like ethics will hold them off over disquiet within their MPS.

Mind you those same MPs quite happily voted away liberties previously.

Agree, but unfortunately there’s still people who think zero covid is possible and welcome more restrictions, lockdowns and financial pain for everyone, not to mention medical cancellations with a reduced health service. I mean covid service.

Does anyone know why I think over 60% of hospitalisations or ‘admissions’ have been double jabbed? Are they letting loose before 3 weeks after the 2nd jab or are unvaccinated social distancing and taking precautions more, even though they are the problem, or will be going by b@stard Boris and the vaccine passport?

Anyone know what the hell is going on other than not facing up to the fact this virus is endemic like flu and nothing in life is certain, even in the developed world we’ve become used to for 75 years.
