My point was if we were / or have been thinking of selling Wilf 'maybe' letting Sako go was a bit hasty, or not if we know Wilf is staying ... I think it’s safe to say he’s going nowhere , it’s far to late in the window to sell now , we would be mad to.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I'm hoping Wilf stays for one more full season, see where we go with the new additions. Another great season & in 12 months his worth increases again & would still be under contract, hoping that a last minute 70/75 mill bid from Chelsea don't rock the boat though

I think it’s safe to say he’s going nowhere , it’s far to late in the window to sell now , we would be mad to. Hope you're right. My gut is that he'll leave in January window after he's helped accumulate the necessary points on the board this side of Xmas. Then a title chaser will pay £70 million + and we have enough time to scout a replacement/s in prep for a full season without him next season. Wilf could then still end up with a trophy at the end of this season (depending where he goes) and we're not exposed for 1st part of the season. To my mind, if he does want to leave that's the best compromise for everyone ...

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle From the start I DON’T Want Wilf to go….but for me the perfect scenario for all concerned would be as follows: • Wilf plays a blinder for us all season taking us into the top 8 pushing his value to £100m+ in the process Only with the above would I feel comfortable with him going and us as a club being able to not only survive, but move on. We need to not be so reliant on one player…..even though he is ONE HELL OF A PLAYER!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Wilf will move on but I dont think it will be in this window not as close to the end of it, it would cause much upheaval at this stage of the window even trying to replace him. I have yet to see a direct statement from him that he wants to leave, by not signing an enhanced contract to my mind is not an indication he wants to leave at this moment in time. Will still be pleased when Friday comes though and still a Palace player!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Palace fans believe they have a good chance of getting the England international back this season, and on the Premier League's official website below they have already got Loftus-Cheek's stats ready to go as if he is an Eagles player. Loftus-Cheek isn't the only player linked between the clubs, with the Blues reportedly leading the race to sign Wilfried Zaha before the transfer window closes on Thursday, with Spurs now no longer interested in the Ivory Coast international. The 25-year-old could cost more than £60m if Chelsea are interested in him, while Loftus-Cheek could be part of the deal should the Blues really go after the Ivory Coast international.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I would be pleasantly staggered if RLC and Wilf are both turning out for Palace next season. I think Roy loves RLC and might swap him for Wilf provided he got a powerful, quick & skilful forward in too. Chelsea would surely view RLC as a bargaining chip, no? but both times we shipped a star out in recent decades -- Wright, Sansom -- we went down. don't know about longer ago than that, but it's worth remembering. This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I am sure RLC will be here. Sadly, I think Zaha will be part of the deal and this is the advance sweetener. However, it will give us cash for Bolasie etc. I will be over the moon if RLC, Zaha, Townsend and Bolasie are here fighting for a place. Where will they all fit with Luca, jimmy Mac and Meyer in the midfield too.
