Very gracious response. Maybe we can start a crowdfund to buy a trophy for such events. At least then you can have a trophy cabinet at Selhurst!

All those trophies and wonderful days/nights have been 'bucket list' moments. Here's hoping one day you'll get to win something and experience it.

I genuinely hope we will. However over the years we seem hell bent on a fairly regular self destruct! It’s never been dull being a Palace fan but, at some stage, it might be nice not to have to keep one eye on a trapdoor!

We have had amazing times and the joy at times has been unbelievable. I'd hope all fans get that feeling except Arsenal and Spurs fans of course!!

Just out of interest, Chelski, "how far back" do you go as a CFC supporter? That's a polite way of asking what "vintage" you are; how old are you? I go back a long way, and I have a small Chelsea claim to fame in that my dad took me and my sister to the Bridge on Boxing Day 1971 to watch them play Ipswich, when Dave Webb played the whole match in goal and kept a clean sheet in a Chelsea victory (2-0 was it?) I'll still have the programme in the loft I expect. I believe you won an honour that year too - the Cup Winners' Cup.

Yes we won a European trophy in 1971 (before Liverpool won one I believe)
