For Hütter-lovers and Hütter-haters interested that's what Peter Linden, one of the leading footy-journos in Austria for decades and now retired, writes today about Hütter and a possible move to the PL on his blog, which Linden is running since he retired: Adi Hütter was among the 75,000 spectators at the 1-1 draw between Bayern Munich and Manchester City at the Allianz Arena in Munich. During his stay, not a few people asked him about his plans for England, which he has made no secret of for weeks. In this sense, the Munich trip was also a preparation for the coach for a possible engagement in the Premier League. He wanted to watch Manchester City live for once. Hütter will be in England next week. He will have the chance to watch matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hütter will not be at the top clash between champions Manchester City and league leaders Arsenal. But he might be in Wolverhampton on Tuesday, when Crystal Palace play at the Molineux Stadium. (…..Following one paragraph explaining the current manager situation in the PL and another paragraph providing some more detailed information about Palace….) Hütter would take two assistants with him to England. The "fixed starter" is Styrian Christian Peintinger, who was at Hütter's side from 2015 to 2022 at Young Boys Bern, Eintracht Frankfurt and Mönchengladbach. The 63-year-old German Armin Reutershahn, who was part of Hütter's staff at Frankfurt and Gladbach in 178 games, joined Borussia Dortmund on 1 January and has an offer to extend his contract. There are several candidates for the coaching job at Selhurst Park, which is steeped in tradition, but so far no clear favourite has emerged. Hütter knows that, too, which is why he doesn't get nervous and does the best thing you can do when it comes to speculation: Not commenting on them. Roy failed at Watford, Liverpool and probably other clubs if I gave it any thought. At Liverpool he had Dalgliesh waiting to take over and the fans and probably the players wanting it too. They fired him after half a season. Watford was and is a basket case and he would have been fired even if he had kept them up - he probably couldn't be arsed after realising what a s***show he had joined and his reunion with us at the Watford game was hilarious. Roy is better than most.

I absolutely and 100% think it would be madness to not give Roy another year , the players are playing with freedom , confidence , and are really enjoying themselves , There is no debate , and I’m correct , Roy stays another year Thanks

I'd go for Potter, a bit of inside information on how Brighton have got so good can't hurt us.

Don't forget, it's not just Roy who has come back. Between them they are bringing out the very best in our players, Wilf included. If Roy is sensible, and I have every reason to believe he is, just like Wilf he should be good for a couple more seasons with us.

We dont want Hodgson back would be going round in circles. Any team needs a bit of luck. We have taken 10 points out of fifteen. Maybe Viera would have kept us up but that is an untested assumption while Roy has actually done it. It is a fact that Parish made a good call in bringing Roy back, I was unsure at the time but it is proven. I'm not sure about Roy staying on, but to say that Parish doesn't know anything about football is ridiculous. We have had 10 years in the Prem (something we have never done before) and the decisions to replace Ian Holloway, Pardew, Frank de Boer and Viera were all timely and proven to be good ones.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
