LBC seems the best place to hear the most up to date news and expert opinion and I’m looking out for info on stats, kits and learning experience. We can always keep the vulnerable inside and keep providing them the essentials as we’re doing now. It’ll need other people to be inconvenienced. Not being able to order food deliveries is the biggie. One stat they shared on Sunday. 4% of Britain is Muslim whereas 25% of Corona deaths is Muslim. Culture is playing a key role on impact of Corona, as more engaged elder-younger family life, more risk. Or more very social elder person, more risk. This seems to be the issue in Italy. Individualism is quick-win cure.

Ok, don`t lynch please. Had an appointment for Home Office today for citizenship application, booked a month ago (and extremely challenging to re-book one) and i monitored my e-mail and seen no cancellation. So had to go to Croydon by car and had a chance to see lockdown atmosphere. Seen Lewisham, Catford, Beckenham, Sydenham etc. Based on my experience especially while returning, it is not a lock-down but a stronger suggestion than the earlier ones. By the way, when we arrived there, they said appointment was cancelled. Now awaiting confirmation from HO that deadline will be extended to avoid losing £3,700..

1. Beckenham is quiet this week the panic buying is over for now and the supermarkets appear to be getting their act together hopefully this idiocy is now past us. There was fighting in Tesco at Lichfield on Sunday. This was in the first hour allocated to NHS workers and it seems that they are as badly behaved as the rest of society. My wife received a text telling her not to go

Would’ve thought a text from them might have been order. Good luck with it anyway.

S'funny, y/day & all last week, the roads were really quiet(im in Mitcham). Today,1st day of 'partial Lockdown' & its as busy as a school day/Saturday. Buses seem to very empty tho & there are still queues outside supermarkets, oh, & none of the 'non-essential' shops are shut. The money laundering drug dens, sorry, barbers are well busy, bookies are open, nail/hair bars are open, charity shops are open & not a single Policeperson in sight. Gonna be interesting to say the least.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
