Perhaps because his organisations have been formenting unrest by enabling ratcheting racial tensions and segregationism? Perhaps because he's been buying State District Attorneys to not only perpetuate an endless cycle of street warfare by immediately releasing blamtifa scum that have wreaked havoc on US cities, but also ensure upcoming electoral litigation serves his agenda? Crowbarred with legitimate concern, frankly.

"Trump says 'hopefully' states won't be allowed to count ballots after Election Day, which is a normal part of the electoral process" - [Link] Michigan and Pennsylvania* election laws, for example, both disallow absentee/mail-in ballots to be counted until the day of the election and therefore its inevitable that it will take beyond the night.. With millions more ballots being requested by Democrats (due in large to the political lines drawn over the coronavirus) this is clearly an attempt to stop the counting of ballots he knows he'll be behind on in what is likely to be a close election. That's also the purpose behind 'sowing the seeds of distrust' in mail in ballots as a whole. If we are to have even a passing interest in the democratic process, votes cast before the election takes place should all be counted. Of course, as per usual, expect Trump to change tack completely if night-of tallies show Biden ahead.
That said, for the sake of 'enjoying' the coverage, in some state mail-in ballots should all be counted on the night. Therefore by inference we will likely have a decent idea of what the actual result elsewhere may be. Edited by BlueJay (29 Oct 2020 8.23pm)

Good points W12. It isn't opinion, it's fact: A few cases like these, where a few thousand votes are compromised in key swing states, will be sufficient to change the outcome of the election. Ends justify the means, though, I suppose.

Well not quite. When it comes to politics they have gotten a fair old amount wrong but we will see. All I do know is that whatever the outcome, this is only the beginning over even more chaos. Because nobody is willing to accept the results of elections anymore. A fundamental breach of trust has occured within our electoral process, which I blame on the Left given how it reacted to both Brexit and Trumps victory in 2016. And for the life of me I don't get why people like you would cheer on a Biden victory. All it means is more control for China and more chance of major wars in the middle east. Along with millions of people seeing a system tiled firmly against them. Twitter censoring anti-Biden stories, journalists like Greenwald who I am sure you once championed having to resign because his articles are being censored as well and generally this sense that the Corporations are being allowed to dictate who and what we can vote for. You are the Establishment. You are the system. And seem nothing other than incredibly pleased with yourself for purposes that make no rational sense. Biden is beyond comprehension. A caeer politicians who is nothing other than a bag carrier for others who want to start bombing the s*** out of everything again. Hope you enjoy the next rogue drone strike.

If Trump loses I cannot see him excepting the result with cries of fake news and corruption. He will probably barricade himself in the Whitehouse and it will take the navy seals to go in and drag him out at gunpoint. Just another day in a f****d up 2020.

The bigger punters have backed Biden as insurance, but Trump has actually had loads more smaller bets placed.

Hillary Cliton was the most unpopular democrat candidate for president in a lifetime, and yet she easily walked the popular vote. Trump aint gonna win the popular vote....let me do a Lindsey Graham here and say "use my words against me" if he does, but its just not going to happen. Trump deals in subtraction, not addition. Who on earth who voted Clinton in 2016 and is now going to vote for Trump? Flip that around and there are tens of millions of suburban women ( to name but one "group" ) who voted for Trump but wont go there again. 2018 Midterms showed that clearly. The GOP held the senate based on having a favorable map that year. This will be a little closer than the polling shows, but 2016 was an outlier, polling wise. Trump never got his approval rating out of the low 40s - the first president who has ever had that particular issue. The fact that Georgia, North Carolina and Texas are even being talked about, is not good for Trump.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |
