He is premiership quality he scored alot last year but was an unmarked man. like Costa ...this year in the prem would've been different. he would've been given alot more attention. and I feel he was never that great. he at best was a poor man's alan shearer.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 Do we really want a striker who has turned us down already? Austin will - if nothing funny turns up - see out his QPR-contract. Move on,please!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 In the past I have been very pro us getting Austin but now I am not so sure. think it is more likely we wont go for him in January and will wait till the summer when he is a free transfer. Think Palace will join the inevitable race for his signature then to see how interested he is.

Be nice to see Charlie sitting in the stand next to Steve Parish on Sunday
Over priced, over rated, and thank god over the other side of the stream, lets hope he stays there.

Maybe we could do a swap deal with campbell plus cash, goalscorers cost money unless their contracts run out which in Austins case applys as his contract runs out in the summer. if he doesn't go this month he'll go on a free in the summer and there'll be a list of clubs as long as your arm wanting him. Austin to Palace in Jan or in the summer on a free hell yeah.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 The mind boggles. I've seen comments on Twitter saying 'we've out grown Austin'. On here there are some who suggest we 'can do better'. Who exactly? These foreign strikers we're linked to perhaps? Zaza sounds great. Never seen him play but what a name. Oh, and this fella at fiorentina. Sounds decent from what I've read (again never seen him play). And as for the Marseille lad, wow. Don't get me wrong, I've never seen him play but on you tube he looks class. Then there is Austin. I've seen him play. His goal scoring record his immense. Last season he hit 18 goals for a car crash club. He did this in the premier league. Our centre forwards have hit a grand total of 1 goal between them all season. Look, it may well be a striker from abroad will absolutely smash it. But we can't dismiss Austin on grounds of ability. His physique and eye for goal convince me he'd be superb here. The only reason I'd be sceptical is his injury record. Some suggest his knees have gone for instance (failed medical at hull doesn't bode well). But ability...come on chaps be sensible. We aren't Barcelona all of a sudden. Austin would be a very good buy.

Austin to Palace in Jan or in the summer on a free hell yeah. Really, where have you been, QPR have said more than once they wont let him go for less than £8m. That's silly money for a player with less than 6 playing months on his contract, no club is going to pay that not knowing whether they can get value, especially as he is injury prone.
